quellings: This is the tattoo I want (on my inner left wrist, about the size of my thumb nail.) I want it for three reasons: I love the English language, I love typography, I love the way words and their symbols instill so many emotions in us. This is the most beautiful ampersand I’ve ever seen. I have a tendency to be a black-and-white thinker in terms of the depression and anxiety that I’ve faced. What I’m constantly trying to remember is that things might be one way, but there’s always an “and” to the situation. There’s always more than what I see and that is so important for me to remember; that’s what keeps me inspired. It’s a lovely symbol.
