I just think it was insensitive for Lana Del Rey to impersonate a drunk, deaf mule on Saturday Night Live last night.
I just think it was insensitive for the original poster of this to criticize a singer on one of her first liver performances like THIS. I know for 100% you couldn’t do better…
Yeah, I couldn’t do better! At no point did I suggest that I could do better! But I am not a professional singer. Lana Del Rey earns her living as a singer/performer and she delivered a pair of awful performances last night - she was off-key, her enunciation was horrendous and she basically sounded like someone who had never sang out loud before. And I say this as someone who actually quite likes her music! Just because I couldn’t do better doesn’t mean that she is exempt from criticism!
I’m totally behind you, -snl. She went the route of “oh I’m famous and therefore I don’t actually have to try very hard” instead of the “I’ve been given an opportunity to expand my fanbase and show people that I’m talented” route. Pitiful.
